At A Glance

This Agefield High combat page is the fisticuffs sheet for Agefield High: Rock the School by Refugium Games. Official copy keeps it old-school on purpose: lock on, punch, block, shove or push to break a guard, then kick. It is not a combo RPG. IGN’s preview adds the useful limits: tracking is short, fights feel samey, and jocks can be anywhere — including the countryside. No weapon database. Verified August 16, 2026 · Steam.

How does Agefield High combat work?

Official store language is blunt: Agefield High combat is simple old-school fisticuffs, not a deep RPG and not a combo lab. IGN’s preview is the move list we will publish: lock on, punch, block, push / shove to break a guard, kick. That is the kit. There is no stance wheel, no skill tree, and no published damage table.

Agefield High lock-on fisticuffs in the IGN preview
InputUse it whenWhat IGN / official actually says
Lock onA jock is in your faceTracking is limited — stay close or the hit whiffs
PunchYou have a target and their guard is downDefault hit. Fights feel samey on purpose
BlockThey swingNo dodge RPG tree, no i-frame roll
Shove / pushTheir guard is upThis is the break, not the finisher
KickAfter the guard drops, or as the other simple attackSecond button, not a special
RunA teacher or cop coneWrong tool for faculty — next sections

Samey is a design note, not a bug report

IGN said the fights feel the same. That matches the official “not a combo RPG” line. Do not hunt a hidden launcher, a juggle, or a weapon art because the third jock plays like the first. If a page lists 40 strings, it invented a fighting game.

Lock-on is not aim-assist forever

Once you lock, stay in range. Limited tracking means a sidestep or a late punch misses. Re-lock if they walk off camera. This Agefield High combat guide will not invent reach values or a lock-on hotkey that the preview did not name.

The one input people skip is the break. The next section is only that shove.

How do I break a guard?

Push or shove. IGN’s preview is explicit: when a jock’s guard is up, you push / shove to open them, then punch or kick. Blocking their swing keeps you alive; shoving their block is how the fight actually moves. There is no published “heavy attack” that deletes a guard on its own.

Guard dropsPunch or kickKeep shoving as if it were a combo extender
They swingBlock, then answerTrade raw punches because tracking is “on”
You locked from too farClose in, re-lockWhiff a kick and call it a bug

Break, then hit — do not invent a string

Shove is a door, not a super. Open the guard, land the simple hits, lock again if they reset. That is the whole Agefield High combat punish. We will not write a 12-hit chart that the preview never showed.

Health recovery stays TBA

Coverage mentions shop snacks and a hot-dog stand. Livestream notes say some store items restore health. Numbers, prices, and whether food works mid-brawl stay TBA. Do not treat a haircut shop as a heal station.

Knowing the five inputs only helps if you know who actually wants a fight. That is jocks — and they are not a campus-only spawn.

Where do jocks spawn?

Anywhere. Official and trailer language is the same line: jocks could be anywhere, including the countryside, not only the Agefield High gym. Campus, two neighborhoods, town center, and the woods can all hand you a fistfight. This Agefield High combat page will not publish fake GPS pins for every clique.

CountrysideJocks off campus — trailer / IGNThis page — do not assume “rural = safe”

A region list, not an enemy radar

The four official regions sit on locations. Ride there on a bike; there is no confirmed fast travel. If a search promised a jock heat map with street names, it guessed. Hover the mission pin, then deal with whoever is standing on it.

Seth is a rival, not a weapon check

Coverage names Seth Remus as the jock / school alpha and the shared enemy of Sam, Kale, and Axel. Beating him is not a published ending lock and not a gear gate. Faces: characters. Credits: endings.

Most story pins still want you quiet first. The next section is sneak-versus-brawl, because the HUD fight often starts before the lock-on.

Should I sneak or fight first?

Sneak first when the pin is a house, a hall, or a prank. IGN’s preview is the useful warning: a lot of jobs use a stealth HUD visibility meter plus sight cones, and those cones can fail through walls or the wrong floor. Agefield High combat is the backup when a jock is already in your face — not the default for every icon.

The first after-school beat is a sneak house

Kale and Axel send you into Ashley’s place as a prank. That is a visibility job, not a tutorial brawl and not a romance flag. Use the cones. If detection clips, leave and re-enter. Stuck opening chain: walkthrough.

Reload beats a new path

We will not publish a stealth tile map. If the HUD cheated, the line is dirty. Habits that keep a duplicate save: tips. Launch cone and freeze notes: bugs.

Faculty use the same HUD and are still the wrong target for a shove.

Are teachers and cops bosses?

No. Teachers and cops are detection threats, not HP bars. Official attendance copy: weekdays expect you in class until afternoon; skip, and teachers and cops notice. IGN names Mr. Haley roaming the halls. Punching faculty is the wrong tool. Run, break line of sight, or sit the lesson.

Cops / authoritiesToo much skipping, or breaking rules off campusHeat meter, star count, jail timer
JocksThe actual fistfightThat a skip automatically spawns a brawl

Attendance is a weekday fork, not a combat class

Sit for a letter and pocket money, or leave and accept cones. Thresholds for “too many skips” stay TBA. The clock, the hover window, and the cop line live on school system. Do not start a hallway brawl because Carpenter’s name showed up in a voiceline.

Launch limp AI is not a strategy

Some reviews say attendance consequences feel weak. That is a bugs note, not permission to treat skip as free. Play the published rule. Log the limp cone if it fails. First-day skip-versus-class: beginner guide.

The last combat search that lands here wants a guitar wiki. That is one sentence, then we stop.

Is there a guitar or a weapon list?

No weapon database. Official Agefield High combat is fisticuffs. IGN’s preview lists lock on, punch, block, shove, kick — no equip slot, no rarity, no sword. TV Tropes and trailer chatter mention a guitar as an improvised weapon. That line is TBA until an IGN-level source or in-game capture locks it. This page will not grow a weapon wiki around a trope.

A prop is not a progression layer

If a later capture shows Sam swinging a guitar in one beat, that is a scene, not a farmable rare. We will add one verified sentence. We will not add tiers, upgrade paths, or a “best weapon” list that the store already refused.

Bikes knock you down; they do not arm you

IGN: a knockdown can respawn a mission bike badly and softlock the job. Grab a world bike and finish the pin. That is a travel bug, not a mounted-combat tree. Workarounds: bugs. Softlock habits: tips.

Scan the mistake table before the next long pin. Almost every lost brawl is range, a shoved-too-late guard, or a teacher you decided to punch.

What mistakes lose a fight?

Use this as a mid-street checklist. Agefield High combat fails are process errors: you locked from too far, you mashed into a guard, or you treated a cone like a boss. It is not a hidden stat check.

One habit that prevents most of them

Before you swing, ask three things: is this a sneak pin, is their guard up, am I close enough for the lock to matter. Two seconds there beats a hallway aggro and a missed shove.

Once that check is automatic, the next page is the job that put you in the street — not a different combat game.
